Referral, reseller or accountant — one spine
A reseller or a CA is a KIND of partner on the same machinery, not a second system: a signup bounty compiles onto the shipped volume-tier rule and Y1/Y2/Y3 recurring rates onto the shipped time-tier rule, so every kind accrues into the same append-only ledger with no parallel commission engine to reconcile. It stays single-tier — there is no downline or multi-level structure — and a claimed signup is first-wins, so a replayed claim can never mint a second attribution. Self-referral and fraud checks run at claim time.
A partner cockpit: earned, held, maturing
A partner opens one screen showing their balance, their pipeline, what's on hold, the date each accrual matures, a monthly earnings series in whole paise, and attention cards they can dismiss. Statements appear only once finalised, with the payment reference when there is one. At-risk and churn signals are a plain rule over the ledger, not a model. There is no payout execution in it at all: settlement is a bank transfer someone makes outside Finocket and records here.
Shop affiliates: the same programme, on your own storefront and till
If you run a Finocket shop, turn on the Shop affiliates preset and the identical engine credits a partner the moment a shopper follows their link or types their code — on your online storefront, a catalogue page, or at the till. Commission is worked out on what the shopper actually paid, before GST, with the same hold, clawback-on-return and monthly statement every other partner already gets.

Questions
Do referrals work without tracking cookies?
Yes — mint a per-partner coupon code with a usage cap and expiry, and entering it on a client's invoice attributes the referral to that partner. No cookie or click is needed, so WhatsApp and word-of-mouth referrals count. First referral still wins.
What do partners see?
Each partner gets a self-serve portal with their referral link, share kit, per-currency balances, what they're owed, and a step-by-step timeline for every referral — and only their own rows, never anyone else's. A reseller or accountant partner also gets a cockpit showing pipeline, holds, the maturity date of each accrual and a monthly earnings series.
Can I run a reseller channel as well as an affiliate program?
Yes — a reseller (or an accountant) is a partner KIND on the same spine, with a signup bounty and Y1/Y2/Y3 recurring rates compiled onto the commission rules engine you already have, accruing into the same append-only ledger. It's single-tier only: there is no downline or multi-level structure, and no second, unaudited ledger to reconcile.
Does Finocket pay partners out?
No — there is no payout execution anywhere in the product. Finocket accrues, holds, matures, claws back and produces the statement; the settlement itself is a bank transfer someone makes outside Finocket and records against the statement.
Does a shop affiliate's link or code actually earn commission, or only track clicks?
It earns. The moment a shopper's order is billed after following a partner's shop link or typing their code — online, or at your till — that sale is credited to the partner and flows into the same commission engine every other partner earns through: the same hold window, the same GST-aware base, the same monthly statement. Commission is worked out on what was actually collected before GST, never on the tax on top of it.
