No named source to pick — this is the path for anything that is not Tally, Zoho, Odoo, Vyapar, myBillBook, Book Keeper, Busy or Marg: Swipe, QuickBooks, Refrens, a spreadsheet you keep yourself, or something else entirely. If it can export a list as CSV or Excel, it can come in this way.
What to export
Use a template from the Pick screen, or bring your own sheet with a header row — the header is found even under a title block above it. One sheet per kind of record: parties, items, chart of accounts, invoices, bills, payments, journals. Bring parties and items first; everything else refers back to them.
From another app, export each list separately: contacts or customers as one file, products or items as another, and so on. There is no zip-file shortcut here the way Zoho or Odoo get — each list is its own export and its own drop on the Pick screen.
What comes across today
Parties, items, your chart of accounts with opening balances, invoices, bills, payments and journals — CSV, XLSX or XLS, all read the same way.
What is deliberately not copied
Formulas — only the values a formula shows are read, never the formula itself. Merged cells and formatting are dropped; a blank row is skipped rather than treated as the end of the sheet. Filed GST returns, IRNs, e-way bills, bank-statement matches and attached files stay with whatever system holds them today — see the overview's own section on this for the full list.
After you drop the file
